Type specimens:
- Cladiscites externeplicatus: GBA 1902/003/0047/02, a shell. Its type locality is Röthelstein, lower layer with Arcestes ellipticus, which is in a Julian carbonate limestone/limestone in the Halstatt Formation of Austria.
- Cladiscites tenuiplicatus:
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Röthelstein, lower layer with Arcestes ellipticus
