Sister taxa: Diorthelasma parvum, Diorthelasma weissi
Type specimen: PMO 111670 (A), a valve (mould of brachial valve). Its type locality is Skytterveien, Upper part of Leangen Member, which is in an Aeronian marine mudstone/sandstone in the Solvik Formation of Norway.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder
