Type specimen: UCMP 10177, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is UCMP B-8413, Ixhuatan, Rio Tapilula, which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Mexico.

Distribution: found only at UCMP B-8413, Ixhuatan, Rio Tapilula
