Type specimen: LACM S9004, a tegmen. Its type locality is South of abandoned pier at Fort MacArthur, which is in a Tortonian offshore shale in the Monterey Formation of California.

Ecology: slow-moving arboreal folivore-herbivore

Distribution: found only at South of abandoned pier at Fort MacArthur
