Sister taxon: Cartorhynchites (Hyperinvolvulus)
Type specimen: SMF VI 164, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Rott (SMF collection), which is in a MP 30 lacustrine - large lignite in the Rott Formation of Germany.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Rott (SMF collection)
