Sister taxa: Neoliodes brevitarsus, Neoliodes quadriscutatus
Type specimen: GZG.BST.28998, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Gottingen GZG collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
