Sister taxa: none

Type specimen: AMU-CURS 126, a skull. Its type locality is 1.5 km Northwest of Cerro Chiguaje, which is in a Messinian/Zanclean fluvial-deltaic sandstone in the Codore Formation of Venezuela.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution: found only at 1.5 km Northwest of Cerro Chiguaje
