Type specimen: YPM VP 57589, a partial skeleton (partial skeleton of an adult consisting of cranial, dental, and postcranial elements). Its type locality is McElmo Canyon, which is in a Tithonian fluvial conglomerate in the Morrison Formation of Colorado.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at McElmo Canyon
