Sister taxa: Ectenaspis beckeri, Ectenaspis homalonotoides

Type specimen: OU 11827, a cephalon/head (cranidium with left eye-stalk and palpebral lobe preserved). Its type locality is Hillside exposure and stream cut, about 2.5 km west of Nebo, OK, which is in a Maysvillian deep subtidal grainstone/rudstone in the Welling Formation of Oklahoma.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at Hillside exposure and stream cut, about 2.5 km west of Nebo, OK
