Sister taxon: Lioplacodes orientalis
Type specimen: NIGP 24269, a shell. Its type locality is YH 5279, Shawan, Lufeng County, which is in a Bajocian/Bathonian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Upper Lufeng Formation of China.
Ecology: epifaunal omnivore
Distribution: found only at YH 5279, Shawan, Lufeng County
