Sister taxa: Goniomya (Goniomya) cachinensis, Goniomya (Goniomya) proboscidea

Type specimen: SNGM 805, a shell. Its type locality is Quebrada El Asiento, Profil 2, Sample 2-81 B3, which is in a Pliensbachian open shallow subtidal mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in Chile.

Ecology: facultatively mobile deep infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution:

• Jurassic of Chile (11 collections)
