Type specimen: ChM PV6003, a partial skull (Partial skull in two pieces: (1) poste- rior portion of skull with exoccipitals and basioccipital and (2) most of rostrum, orbits, and intertemporal region but ). Its type locality is Covington Estates, which is in a Rupelian coastal horizon in the Ashley Formation of South Carolina.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Covington Estates
