Type specimen: PIN 5461, a partial skeleton (incomplete skull and skeleton). Its type locality is Polevoe 1, which is in a Messinian marine claystone in the Krasnooktyabr’sk Formation of the Russian Federation.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore-suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Polevoe 1
