Type specimen: Holotype: Lev 001, stored in the Department of Plant Science, University of Tasmania. (Leaves). Its type locality is Leven River deposit, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial mudstone in Australia.

Ecology: "photoautotroph"

Distribution: found only at Leven River deposit
