Sister taxon: Afrocladus pumilio
Type specimen: NHM II 3069, a hindwing. Its type locality is Mariakani-MacKinnon Road well, 1289 feet depth, which is in a Lopingian terrestrial shale in the Maji ya Chumvi Formation of Kenya.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Mariakani-MacKinnon Road well, 1289 feet depth
