Type specimen: Holotype: LB 271 / LB 272 (counterpart), infructescence, housed in the Department of Plant Science, University of Tasmania., a seed/fruit (infructescence). Its type locality is Lake Bungarby, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial mudstone in Australia.

Ecology: "photoautotroph"

Distribution: found only at Lake Bungarby
