Type specimen: FCT-UNL 600, a skull. Its type locality is Penina western locality, Penina Bonebed, which is in a Carnian/Norian fluvial-deltaic sandstone in the Grès de Silves Formation of Portugal.

Ecology: amphibious piscivore

Distribution: found only at Penina western locality, Penina Bonebed
