Type specimen: MNHN.F.PRU11, a skull (skull). Its type locality is Ullujaya, Chilcatay Formation, which is in a Burdigalian marine siltstone/sandstone in the Chilcatay Formation of Peru.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Ullujaya, Chilcatay Formation
