Type specimen: NCSM 21558, a partial skeleton (Partial skull, presacral vertebrae and humerus). Its type locality is NCPALEO1902 - brick quarry, which is in a Carnian fluvial conglomerate/sandstone in the Pekin Formation of North Carolina.

Distribution: found only at NCPALEO1902 - brick quarry
