Sister taxa: Gisilina gisii, Gisilina jasmundi, Gisilina ovata
Type specimen: NHMM BL 0357-87, a shell. Its type locality is Blom quarry, level IVf-4, Berg en Terblijt, which is in a Maastrichtian deep subtidal packstone in the Maastricht Formation of the Netherlands.
