Type specimen: UFRJ-DG 031 Av, a skeleton (nearly complete skeleton, preserved in two slabs, including skull, nearly complete fore and hindlimbs, vertebral column and pectoral and pelvic girdles.). Its type locality is Pedra Branca Quarry (Crato), which is in an Aptian terrestrial lime mudstone in the Crato Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Pedra Branca Quarry (Crato)
