Type specimen: USNM 609605, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Spring site, Middle Fork Flathead River (Kishenehn), which is in a Lutetian lacustrine - large shale in the Kishenehn Formation of Montana.

Distribution: found only at Spring site, Middle Fork Flathead River (Kishenehn)
