Type specimen: IVPP V 4013.1, an osteoderm. Its type locality is Huakedaliang, Dayu township, Jiyuan City, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial sandstone/mudstone in the Shangshihezi Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at Huakedaliang, Dayu township, Jiyuan City
