Sister taxon: Renites kiensis
Type specimen: PIN 1048/523, a shell. Its type locality is Kara-Dzhar River, west of Sukhinovka, which is in a Famennian carbonate limestone in Kazakhstan.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution:
• Devonian of Kazakhstan (4 collections)
