Belongs to Schistoceras according to V. E. Ruzhentsev 1950
Sister taxa: Schistoceras missouriense, Schistoceras suburalense, Schistoceras unicum
Type specimen: PIN 320/1721, a shell. Its type locality is Ural river, west of Nikolsk, bed 28, which is in a Gzhelian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution:
• Carboniferous of Kazakhstan (1 collection), the Russian Federation (2)
