Sister taxon: Auriculispina levis

Type specimen: NU-B1882, a valve (ventral valve). Its type locality is SK27, Imahorazawa, which is in a Sakmarian marine shale in the Sakamotosawa Formation of Japan.

Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at SK27, Imahorazawa
