Type specimen: UFP 44, 5.4 x 92.3, a microspore. Its type locality is Pinalerita UFP 44, Llanos foothills, Colombia, which is in an Eocene fluvial-deltaic claystone/mudstone in the San Fernando Formation of Colombia.

Distribution: found only at Pinalerita UFP 44, Llanos foothills, Colombia
