Type specimen: PBMNH.P10.113.T, a set of postcrania. Its type locality is Dakotaraptor Quarry, Bone Butte, which is in a Maastrichtian fluvial sandstone in the Hell Creek Formation of South Dakota.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
