Sister taxa: Litodonomys huangheensis, Litodonomys lajeensis
Type specimen: IVPP V13599, a mandible (Lower jaws). Its type locality is IVPP Loc. DH 200105, which is in a Shanwangian terrestrial horizon in the Tiejianggou Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore-insectivore
Distribution: found only at IVPP Loc. DH 200105
