Sister taxon: Cibolaites molenaari
Type specimen: MNHG 56617, a shell. Its type locality is Monts Iguelela, bed 18, which is in a Turonian marine limestone in Niger.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Monts Iguelela, bed 18
