Type specimen: NMNZ S.51799, a limb element (distal right tibiotarsus). Its type locality is HH1b Home Hills Station (H41/f90), which is in an Altonian lacustrine - large sandstone in the Bannockburn Formation of New Zealand.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
