Sister taxon: Cimoliopterus cuvieri
Type specimen: SMU 76892, a partial skull (Partial rostrum). Its type locality is Lewisville Lake (Britton Fm.), which is in a Cenomanian marine shale in the Britton Formation of Texas.
Ecology: volant piscivore
Distribution: found only at Lewisville Lake (Britton Fm.)
