Type specimen: USNM 21861, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is 10 miles west of Steubenville, which is in a Gzhelian terrestrial shale in Ohio.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at 10 miles west of Steubenville
