Type specimen: MACN A 52-507a, a tooth (isolated lower incisor). Its type locality is Gran Barranca - southern cliff of lake Colhué Huapí, which is in a Colhuehuapian terrestrial horizon in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: scansorial herbivore
Distribution: found only at Gran Barranca - southern cliff of lake Colhué Huapí
