Type specimen: MMP 967M, a mandible (Part of right dentary with m2-4; other associated teeth). Its type locality is Barranca south of Lago Colhue-Huapi, Gran Barranca, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial claystone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: scansorial carnivore

Distribution: found only at Barranca south of Lago Colhue-Huapi, Gran Barranca
