Sister taxa: none
Type specimen: MLP 59-II-26-81, a mandible (portion of right ramus with m1-3, base of i and alveoli of p4). Its type locality is Laguna de los Machos, which is in a Deseadan terrestrial horizon in Argentina.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Laguna de los Machos
