Type specimen: AMNH 9591, a mandible (relatively complete right mandibular ramus with alveoli of c-p2 and m3-4, and p3-m2 complete). Its type locality is Killik Aike Norte, which is in a Santacrucian terrestrial tuff in the Santa Cruz Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: scansorial insectivore
