Type specimen: MACN 8097, a partial skull (posterior part of cranium). Its type locality is Santa Maria Valley Andalhuala Fm, which is in a Montehermosan/Chapadmalalan terrestrial horizon in the Andalhuala Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore

Distribution: found only at Santa Maria Valley Andalhuala Fm
