Type specimen: MPEV-PV 4711, a tooth (right M2). Its type locality is Gran Barranca - southern cliff of lake Colhué Huapí, which is in a Colhuehuapian terrestrial horizon in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: scansorial omnivore

Distribution: found only at Gran Barranca - southern cliff of lake Colhué Huapí
