Type specimen: USNM 166396, a shell. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic D6756, Baca County, which is in a Cenomanian carbonate limestone in the Greenhorn Limestone Formation of Colorado.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at USGS Mesozoic D6756, Baca County
