Type specimen: LACM 123887, a partial skeleton (includes skull and ear bones). Its type locality is Moore Creek mouth, which is in a Miocene marine mudstone in the Nye Formation of Oregon.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Moore Creek mouth
