Type specimen: UCMP 86139, a partial skull (includes ear bones). Its type locality is UCMP V69171, which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian marine sandstone in the Astoria Formation of Washington.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at UCMP V69171
