Sister taxa: Globiella hemisphaerium, Globiella planohemisphaerium, Globiella reshetovi, Globiella rossiae, Globiella tschernyschewi, Globiella umariensis

Type specimen: NU-B1978, a valve (ventral valve). Its type locality is KF99, Shigejisawa valley, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Kamiyasse Formation of Japan.

Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at KF99, Shigejisawa valley
