Type specimen: BSPG 1931 X 502, a partial skull (Skull lacking snout). Its type locality is Ebrach, bed number 9, which is in a Carnian lacustrine sandstone in the Hassberge Formation of Germany.

Distribution: found only at Ebrach, bed number 9
