Type specimen: USNM 476096, a shell. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic D2824, north of Buckeye, which is in a Campanian marine sandstone in the Pierre Shale Formation of Colorado.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of United States (8: Colorado collections)

Total: 8 collections each including a single occurrence
