Belongs to Scylacops according to D. S. Sigogneau-Russell 1989
Sister taxon: Scylacops bigendens
Type specimen: SAM-PK-2343, a partial skeleton (Flattened skull with lower jaw and some postcranial elements). Its type locality is Dunedin, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in South Africa.
Ecology: carnivore
Distribution:
• Permian of South Africa (3 collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
