Type specimen: NHCC LB36, a partial skull (A partial skull missing the anterior snout and preserving the left side of its dorsal surface and a complete anterior palate ). Its type locality is L56 Munyamadzi Game Management Area, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in the Madumabisa Mudstone Formation of Zambia.

Ecology: planktonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at L56 Munyamadzi Game Management Area
