Type specimen: SMNS 96900, a partial skull (partial cranial skeleton). Its type locality is Old Ölschiefer-quarry, Holcim Süd-AG, Dotternhausen (Inoceramenbank), which is in a Falciferum offshore shale in the Posidonienschiefer Formation of Germany.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Old Ölschiefer-quarry, Holcim Süd-AG, Dotternhausen (Inoceramenbank)
