Type specimen: Victoria University VC.163a,b, a shell. Its type locality is P04/f9598, Fergussen Pt, Whangaroa Harbour, which is in a Piripauan marine horizon in New Zealand.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at P04/f9598, Fergussen Pt, Whangaroa Harbour
