Type specimen: WAM P79.42, a seed/fruit. Its type locality is Merlinleigh Station, escarpment north of type section mesa, which is in a Lutetian shoreface sandstone in the Merlinleigh Sandstone Formation of Australia.

Ecology: "photoautotroph"

Distribution: found only at Merlinleigh Station, escarpment north of type section mesa
